Salvador Rangel Mendoza

Salvador Rangel Mendoza OFM (born April 28, 1946 in Tepalcatepec , Mexico ) is Bishop of Chilpancingo-Chilapa .

Life

Salvador Rangel Mendoza entered the religious order of the Franciscans and received on 28 June 1974, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 12, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Huejutla . The Archbishop of Morelia , Alberto Suárez Inda , gave him episcopal ordination on June 5 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Christophe Pierre , and the Bishop Emeritus of Huejutla, Salvador Martínez Pérez .

On June 20, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Chilpancingo-Chilapa.

From October 28, 2017 to July 9, 2019, he was also Apostolic Administrator of Ciudad Altamirano during the Sedis vacancy .
