The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9195, own notation : Samsung GALAXY S4mini ) is a smart phone that the manufacturer Samsung was presented on May 30, 2013. It is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S III mini smartphone .
This is a device similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4 , but with a smaller screen with lower resolution, without notification LED and humidity and temperature sensor, but with RDS- capable FM radio and LTE support.
It is equipped with a 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor and an 8 megapixel camera.
It is equipped with the Android operating system version 4.2 ("Jelly Bean") - an update to 4.4.2 ("KitKat") is available - and the additional TouchWiz user interface . A micro SIM card is used .
The housing of the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is made of the plastic polycarbonate and is available in several colors: purple, blue, white, red, brown and black.

On July 1, 2014, the successor model Samsung Galaxy S5 mini was presented.
Value Edition
In 2015 an updated model appeared under the name S4 Mini Value Edition or S4 Mini Plus (GT-I9195I). It is based on the model with NFC and LTE (GT-I9195), but is equipped with LTE Cat.4 and contains a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snap Dragon processor. The rest of the hardware is identical, the software has been updated to Android KitKat 4.4.4.
The "European model" only accepts SIM cards from mobile phone providers in the Europe region (= EU / EEA, Switzerland, as well as the following countries outside the EEA: Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rep. Macedonia, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, Serbia, Vatican City). If a SIM from outside this region is to be used, calls must first be made for at least 5 minutes with a European SIM in Europe.
