Here he completed a basic philosophical course with Michael Wendeler (1610–1671) in ethics, with Aegidius Strauch II in mathematics and history, with Heinrich Baumann (1634–1669) in metaphysics, with Ernst Backius (1632–1679) in logic Samuel Hentschel (1635–1690) in physics, with Johann Friedrich Horn (around 1625 / 1633–1665) in politics, with August Pfeiffer (1640–1698) in Hebrew, with Christoph Notnagel in astrology and with Simon Friedrich Frentzel (1636–1679 ) in chiromancy.
