Sander Puri (born May 7, 1988 in Tartu ) is an Estonian football player . He is the twin brother of Eino Puri , who is also a professional footballer.

Career

Puri began his career at the lower class club Premium Tartu, from where he then moved to FC Levadia Tallinn for the 2005/06 season. There he was a regular player and loaned to Tulevik Viljandi in the 2007 season. In the 2009/10 season he moved to the Greek first division club AE Larisa , with whom Puri signed for five years. In the second half of the 2010/11 season, Puri was awarded to the Polish first division club Korona Kielce until the end of the season. For the club from the province of Heiligkreuz this debuted against Zagłębie Lubin on matchday 16. Puri scored his only goal in the Kielce jersey in the home game against Polonia Bytom , when he scored to equalize. In the summer of 2011, Puri signed a loan contract with Lombard Pápa from Hungary. There he played until the end of the year before Puri switched to Kuopion PS from the Finnish Veikkausliiga . After the end of the season, Puri moved to FC St. Mirren where he was under contract for six months. In June 2013 he signed a contract with York City from the fourth highest English division .

In early February 2015, he moved to the Irish league for the Sligo Rovers for the current calendar year . In early 2016 he joined MFK Karviná in the Czech second division . After promotion in 2016 , he left the club in mid-2016 and returned to FC Nõmme Kalju in his home country. Puri has been playing for Irish club Waterford FC since the beginning of 2017 .

For the Estonian national team, he played a total of 70 games between 2008 and 2016, scoring four goals. He could not qualify for any European or World Cup finals during this time.
