Sándor Wladár

Sándor Wladár [ ˈʃaːndor ˈvlɒdaːr ] (born July 19, 1963 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian swimmer.

He was Olympic champion over 200 m back at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow . In addition, he became European champion over 100 m and 200 m back in 1981 . From 1985 to 1987 he was also active as a water polo player.

In 1981 he was voted Europe's Swimmer of the Year . He was also Hungary's Sportsman of the Year in the same year.
