Stev Theloke (born January 18, 1978 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a former German swimmer .

Theloke's main position is the backstroke , in which he was one of the fastest swimmers in Europe before the great successes of Thomas Rupprath and Helge Meeuw . He hit the headlines in 2005 when he was excluded from the German national team and from the 2005 World Swimming Championships in Montréal after his criticism of the German Swimming Association . Theloke starts for the Chemnitz Swimming Club , trains and lives in Chemnitz after a short three-year stay in Berlin.

For winning the bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, he was awarded the silver laurel leaf by Federal President Johannes Rau on February 2, 2001 - together with all other German medalists .
