Sandra Bezic

Sandra Marie Bezic (born April 6, 1956 in Toronto ) is a former Canadian figure skater and today's choreographer and television commentator.

She competed in pair skating with her brother Val Bezic and won the Canadian championships from 1970 to 1974 . In the same period they took part in world championships . Her best result there was fifth at the 1974 World Cup . In 1972 they finished their only Olympic Games in ninth place.

After her competitive career, Bezic became a choreographer and in this role created the programs of numerous Olympic and world champions, including Barbara Underhill and Paul Martini (1984 World Championships), Brian Boitano (1988 Olympics), Kristi Yamaguchi (1992 Olympics), Kurt Browning (1993 World Championships) and Tara Lipinski (Olympia 1998).

She also designed programs for Jill Trenary , Chen Lu , Joannie Rochette , Kim Yu-na , Takahiko Kozuka .

Bezic annotated the 2002 , 2006 and 2010 Olympics for NBC , as well as world championships in the early 1990s.

Bezic worked for several years as director, co-producer and choreographer at the ice revue Stars on Ice . For this work she received an Emmy in 2003 .

In 1990 she acted as a figure skating coach for Marlon Brando for the film The Freshman .

Bezic also published the book "The Passion of Skate".
