Sanja Vujović (born May 25, 1987 in Belgrade , SFR Yugoslavia , born Sanja Damnjanović ) is a Serbian handball player .

Career

Sanja Vujović started playing handball in 1999 at RK Zemun. After the backcourt player then ran up for the Serbian clubs ŽRK Radnički Belgrade and ŽRK Naisa Niš, she joined the Slovenian top club RK Krim in 2008 . In 2009 she won the Slovenian Championship and the Slovenian Cup with Krim. In October 2009 Vujović returned to Serbia, where she played for ŽRK Zaječar. With Zaječar she won the Serbian championship twice. Vujović signed a contract with the Croatian club ŽRK Podravka Vegeta in 2011 , with whom she also triumphed in the national championship. From the 2013/14 season she went hunting for goals for the Danish club Viborg HK . With Viborg she won the 2014 European Cup Winners' Cup and the Danish championship. From the summer of 2015 she ran for the Macedonian club ŽRK Vardar SCBT . With Vardar, she won the Macedonian Championship in 2016 and 2017 and the Macedonian Cup in 2016 and 2017. In the 2017/18 season she was under contract with the Hungarian club Siófok KC . As of February 2018, she was on pause due to pregnancy. In the 2019/20 season she played for the Montenegrin club ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica .

Sanja Vujović is a member of the Serbian national team . With the Serbian selection she took part in the European Championship in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012 . At the EM 2012 she was elected to the Allstar team. At the 2013 World Cup , the Serbian won the silver medal and was still elected to the Allstar team.
