Sarah Hudson

Sarah Hudson (* 1984 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American pop singer and founder of the club pop music project Ultraviolet Sound . She is the daughter of 1970s music producer and TV pop singer Mark Hudson .

Life

Sarah Hudson was born in Los Angeles to 1970s music producer and pop singer Mark Hudson (of the Hudson Brothers ) and European dancer Wendy Gotelee. She grew up in Los Angeles. As a child she took part in dance and music theaters. Hudson was already professionally tutored by voice coaches Mary Drummond, Elisabeth Howard and Dena Murray at the age of three. As a teenager she recorded background and guest singing for a number of established pop singers and began writing her own songs at the age of 18.

Music career

2005 to 2006: debut album

Hudson's former record label, S-Curve Records , was closed before their debut album Naked Truth (2005) was officially released. Contributors to the album included Desmond Child , Eric Bazilian , Billy Mann , Ozzy Osbourne and Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler . Hudson had interviews in Women's Wear Daily , YM , Seventeen , Teen Vogue, and Elle magazines .

Since 2007: Ultraviolet Sound

In late 2007, Hudson started a new music project called "Ultraviolet Sound". The group, also known as UVS, released their first album OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Dancing) independently in April 2008. The band partnered for OCD with "Adidas Originals" and garnered over 135,000 downloads in total.

In 2008 UVS was almost exclusively on tour, among other things the project had a show in Toronto in "Circa" with the DJ superstars SebastiAn and Kavinksy, a 35-city tour with the crunk-rock band Family Force 5 from Atlanta, a show in Vegas with Lady Gaga , a "SXSW Performance" together with Robyn , NERD , Dragonette , Katy Perry and other great artists. Ultraviolet Sound first spread their music internationally in March 2009 on a 20 day tour of the United Kingdom, with performances in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Brighton and Nottingham.

UVS new album was released worldwide on April 12, 2011. On her MySpace page previews of her new songs have been uploaded, including the songs "Fuck'd Up" featuring Izza Kizza, "Electric Misfit Love Machine" and "La La Love".

On July 28, 2010, they released the album's first single, "Suck My Kiss," on their MySpace page. On September 14, 2010, the single was then released digitally on iTunes , along with three remixed versions of the song.

Television career

Hudson took part in the report "The Way The Music Died" on the television series Frontline . She was also on a Season 1 episode of Project Runway where the competitors were asked to create rock music fashion that reflected their image. She has been referred to as the "rising and coming rock star".

Personal

Her godfather is Steven Tyler and her godmother Goldie Hawn , who was formerly married to her uncle Bill Hudson . She is a cousin of Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson .

Hudson currently lives now and then in New York City and Los Angeles .
