Sarah Solemani

Sarah Solemani (born September 4, 1982 in London , England ) is a British actress and author . She is best known as the leading actress in the BBC series Him & Her and as a friend of Renée Zellweger in the film Bridget Jones' Baby .

Life

Solemani was born in the London borough of Camden and grew up in North London, in Crouch End. Her father is a retired mathematics lecturer of Persian origin. Her mother was of Northern Irish descent and taught sociology. She passed away when Solemani was 16 years old.

While studying Social and Political Science at New Hall College at the University of Cambridge , Solemani joined the Footlights theater club . With Brawl , she wrote a sketch for 25 women - the largest all-female cast ever performed on the Footlights stage - and thus went down in the history of the famous theater club.

Solemani played her first film role in 2005 at the side of Judi Dench in Lady Henderson . After graduating, she worked as a writer for the Young Vic Theater, two of her plays were performed at the Soho Theater. In 2011 she won the Old Vic New Voices Ignite Award for her piece The Baron .

On June 3, 2012, Solemani married a climate change specialist in sustainable investing. Together they have two children, a daughter (* 2013) and a son (* 2018).
