history
Scheergrund was created around 1550 when the owner of the Tautendorf suburb, Hans von Komerstadt, had a mill built on the Grundbach. A detailed history of the Scheergrundmühle can be found in the New Mildensteiner Narrator.
The place is parish after Großweitzschen .
