Meinitz is a district of the city of Leisnig in the district of central Saxony . In 1964 the place had 159 inhabitants. In 1965 he was incorporated into Leisnig.

history

The village of Meinitz is of Sorbian origin, recognizable by the fact that in 1564 it still had to perform harrowing and carriage services for the Tragnitz farm.

In 1378 Meinitz had nothing to deliver to the castrum Leisnig, it was only under its court. In 1548, the Leisnig zu Meinitz registry of inheritance names “14 possessed men, including 4 hookers, 3½ of which are Balthasar von Arras and 10½ can be borrowed from the Leisnig office” with 16 hooves. The higher court and the inheritance court belonged to the Leisnig office. The place was always parish after Leisnig.
