Polkenberg is a district of the city of Leisnig in the district of central Saxony .

history

1046 the Burgward Bolechina is called. Its location is believed to be on the Kapellenberg south of Korpitzsch.

In 1215 the capella in Polech belonged to the Leisnig Parish and thus came to the Buch monastery .

1231 were confirmed by Ks. Friedrich II. The monastery book goods, u. a. in Bylsin , located near Polkenberg ( prope Polex ), which Heinrich von Kohren had bought from the Reichsministeriale von Polkenberg and transferred to the monastery. In 1233 the de Polec brothers were named as tutors when the Geringswalde monastery was founded. In 1236 Heinricus de Poleke was a witness for the Lords of Gnandstein. In 1245 there was another confirmation of property for the Buch monastery by Ks. Friedrich II, including the villages of Langenau, Gersdorf and Kieselbach, acquired by Heinricus de Poleche . Heinrich von Polkenberg can be traced as a witness until 1254, Friedrich von Polkenberg until 1276 (owner of the castrum Frankenhausen).

In 1378 the mill in Paleg had to deliver 10 groschen a year to the castrum Leisnig.

Polkenberg developed into an official manor. In 1548, Leisnig zu Polkenberg's official inheritance book names “2 possessed men, all of whom can be borrowed and paid for to Balthasar von Arras” with 1 hoof. The higher court belonged to the Leisnig office , the inheritance court to the manor. Until 1747 Hans Dietrich von Bock owned the manor, to which the Bocksdorf cottage settlement goes back, which was named after the community and was renamed Polkenberg in 1921.

The place was always parish after Altleisnig .

In 1921 the rural community Bocksdorf was renamed Polkenberg. On July 1, 1950, Görnitz and Korpitzsch were incorporated, in 1973 Polditz . In 1999 he was incorporated into Bockelwitz , and in 2012 he went to Leisnig with him.

In 1990 the place had 1155 inhabitants.
