Scheie is a district of the city of Bückeburg in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony .

Geography and transport links

The district is located not far north of the town center of Bückeburg on the L 450 road . The B 65 runs along the southern outskirts . To the northwest, the 65 stretches ha large nature reserve Bückeburger lowlands . The airfield Achum Bückeburg is located east.

history

The place was first mentioned in a document under the name Scoythe in a contract between Bishop Egilbert von Minden and Duke Bernhard II of Saxony from 1055 . Later names were Schoyde and around 1600 Scheide .
