action
Schimanski actually wanted to celebrate the wedding anniversary with Marie-Claire with Hänschen and his wife. But Hänschen falls out with her because the work is more important to him. Hunger's sister was fished dead from the Rhine and Hanschen feels obliged to help his colleague. Schimanski can calm the disturbed hunger at the crime scene and promises to find the perpetrator. Hänschen reports to Schimanski that Marion Hunger was involved in a column of pushers.
In order to pretend to be boss Hugo Baldorf, he gets a little background knowledge from him in prison. Although Schimanski warned Hunger not to interfere in the case for emotional reasons, he nevertheless (as Tommy Klein) infiltrated the column around the merciless boss Elke Dorn, in whom his sister worked. Schimanski, now in the masquerade of Max Baldorf, soon gives the honor of being part of the column and manages to become Elke's partner. Hunger gets to feel his merciless acting performances right at the beginning, which seems to impress the column. But the push column seems to be in trouble because some members like Ricardo are not doing the job they are supposed to and Marion was in love with him. Ricardo is punished according to the column rules in the old port of Elke. Baldorf alias Schimanski can achieve a higher fulfillment rate through his reputation and feigned toughness, although Hunger gives Ricardo three bills and is punished for it to camouflage Schimanski. Of course only to talk to him undisturbed on a business level. Both agree that Marion's chain, on the pictures, discovered the hunger in Ricardo's closet, but was missing when the body was found and the perpetrator must be in possession of the chain.
Elke Dorn and her partner Karin seem to be aiming for hunger and Schimanski also sexually, which the two skillfully block. Schimanski tries to exploit Elke's weakness to find out more about the circumstances of Marion's death and to learn about the whereabouts of the chain. Besides, it becomes evident that Elke and Karin have a bisexual relationship. But Schimanski did not count on pusher Axel, who knows the real Baldorf and blackmailed him. Schimanski avoids this with a game of confusion. Hunger tries to find out more about Marion through Ricardo and comes up against a wall of fear and intimidation. In addition, members Lisa and Mike plan their escape from the group. When Axel demands more money from Schimanski, Schimanski knocks him out and finds Marion's necklace in his pocket. Meanwhile, Dorn's partner Bertram checks Ricardo's three bills and accidentally finds out that Hunger is a police officer. Before Mike can run away with Lisa, Hunger questions him about the truth about Marion's death. But at the next corner, Hunger is caught by Bertram and taken to the port to be punished there. In the meantime, Ricardo, who is actually an incest product between Elke and her father, has confessed to his mother that he threw Marion into the water after the punishment in order to break away from her. She wanted to get out and flee without him. He had given the chain to Axel as a deposit for the subscription tickets he owed.
At the old harbor Elke punishes hunger and is supposed to be thrown into the Rhine by Ricardo like Marion, but Schimanski can save him from the water, whereby his camouflage is completely blown. But Hänschen and his men are already there and arrest them. Schimanski and Hänschen now have to devote themselves to their wives again and surprisingly they receive an invitation to a trip to Greece with them via cell phone.
