The loop nature reserve is a nature reserve in the Görlitz district in eastern Saxony . It is located in Muskau-Hoyerswerdaer-Heide near the Gleisdreieck of the Spremberg – Hoyerswerda and Cottbus – Görlitz railway lines between Spremberg and Runde in the district of Görlitz. It is characterized as a flat sand surface south of a terminal moraine as an old pine wood area with natural rejuvenation.

The for Muskauer Heide so typical blueberry - Preiselbeerwald with the adjacent heather faces is habitat for the black grouse . Other bird species such as black woodpecker , green woodpecker , great spotted woodpecker , oriole live there. Rare residents are u. a. the wasteland horror .

The 52 hectare nature reserve was designated by the Dresden Regional Council on January 11, 2007.
