The building at Schmale Straße 15 is a listed remnant of a cellar in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The monument is located on the west side of Schmalen Strasse, north of the town's market square and is entered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a cellar. The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Goldstrasse 25 to the south .

Architecture and history

The cellar represents the last remnants of a house built in the 16th century and was built from ashlar masonry with barrel vaults . The building located above the cellar was from dry rot infested and was in 1995 because of danger of collapse due to a demolition disposal demolished. At the end of the 20th century, the cellar was still clearly visible above ground. On the right side there was an access leading through a round arch. Today (as of 2013) the above-ground walls and especially the barrel vault are only preserved in fragments.
