Schmale Strasse 7 (Quedlinburg)
The residential building on Schmale Straße 7 is a listed residential building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .
The building is located on the corner of Schmalen Strasse on the corner of Bornstrasse .
Architecture and history
The half-timbered house was built in the Baroque in 1690. The framework of the upper floor is richly decorated with decorative shapes. The shape of the half man can be found on both sides of the corner post. Also diamond crosses , ship throats and chip carving patterns on the floor threshold can be seen. Particularly noteworthy is an angel's head on the corner stand.
In the 19th century the windows on the upper floor were enlarged. A renovation took place at the beginning of the 21st century. Previously existing modern conversions in the street-side roof area were dismantled.
