The Schneealpenhaus is one at an altitude of 1788  m above sea level. A. Refuge located on the high plateau of the Schneealpe in the Mürzsteg Alps , opened on August 16, 1925 . The house can be reached on gravel roads and can accommodate up to 60 people. Otto Neubacher was a long-term tenant. The Schneealpenhaus is owned by the Austrian Mountain Association section of the PES and is managed during the summer season from the beginning of May to the end of October.
