The four-lane expressway Herceg Novi-Ulcinj ( Montenegrin Brza saobraćajnica Herceg Novi-Ulcinj ) is a planned expressway in Montenegro . It should lead from the Croatian border at Debeli Brijeg (near Herceg Novi ) along the Adriatic Sea to the Albanian border at Sukobin (near Ulcinj ). The Verige Bridge is intended to avoid the long journey around the Bay of Kotor . This planning has already been taken into account in the Montenegrin transport development plan up to 2020.
Routing
The expressway will join the Croatian D8 at Debeli Brijeg and then pass Herceg Novi and Bijela to the Verige Bridge. From there it leads along the Adriatic via Tivat , Budva , Petrovac na moru , Bar and Ulcinj to the Albanian border near Sukobin.
