  • The Montenegrin Magistralni put M2 leads from the Croatian border at Debeli Brijeg to the Serbian border at Dračenovac and leads through Kotor and Podgorica , among others . The section along the Adriatic coast is part of the Adriatic coastal road ( Jadranska Magistrala ).

    Route

The M2 begins at the Croatian border at Debeli Brijeg as a continuation of the Croatian national road D8 and then continues via Herceg Novi along the Bay of Kotor through Kotor and the Vrmac tunnel past Tivat to Budva . There the M2-3 branches off to Cetinje . The M2 continues along the Adriatic Sea to Petrovac na moru . Here the M2-4 branches off and the M2 leaves the Adriatic coast to lead over the 665 m high Poljice pass ( Paštrovići mountain range ) inland to Virpazar and on to Podgorica .

In Podgorica the M2 crosses the M18 . The M2 then continues north through the Morača Gorge to Kolašin and Mojkovac . A few kilometers east of Mojkovac, the M21 branches off in Vlasko Polje . The M2 continues via Berane and Rožaje to the Serbian border at Dračenovac.

    meaning

The section between Petrovac na moru and Virpazar has lost importance due to the opening of the Sozina tunnel further east . The traffic from the west is carried over the much better developed M2-3 from Budva via Cetinje to Podgorica.
