Swiss Film Award 2019
The 22nd Swiss Film Awards ceremony took place on March 22nd, 2019 at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva . Films of the year 2018 were awarded in a total of 12 categories, the nominations were announced on January 30, 2019 as part of the Solothurn Film Festival. In addition, a special and an honorary award were awarded.
The most successful were Ceux qui travaillent and Chris the Swiss , who were each victorious in three categories. The comedy Wolkenbruch by Michael Steiner , with five nominations as a favorite, and the most commercially successful Swiss film of 2018, could only win the award for best leading actor ( Joel Basman ).
