Scott Cohen

Scott E. Cohen (born December 19, 1961 in New York , NY ) is an American actor .

life and career

As the son of jazz musician Jack Cohen and teacher Leatrice Cohen, he learned to play the piano at an early age.

After graduating from high school, he struggled to find the right profession and tried his hand at things such as assistant to a photographer, waiter and substitute teacher. Eventually he discovered acting for himself and made his acting debut alongside Tim Robbins in the movie Jacob's Ladder in 1990 .

This was followed by small roles in other movies such as private parts and guest appearances in numerous series, etc. a. in Law & Order and NYPD Blue .

In 1995 he played the main role in the computer game Ripper. The specialty of the game is that all characters are played by real actors and inserted into the animated game environment using blue screen technology .

After his appearance as Wolf in the miniseries The Tenth Kingdom , over 100 unofficial Scott Cohen fan clubs sprang up in the United States within a week.

In Germany, Scott Cohen was best known for his role as teacher Max Medina in the hit series Gilmore Girls .

In 2005 he got a leading role in the Law & Order spin-off series Law & Order: Trial by Jury , which flopped and was discontinued after only 13 episodes.

Scott Cohen has been married since 1989 and has one son (* 1995).
