Scott Richard Wolf (born June 4, 1968 in Boston , Massachusetts ), also known as D. Scott Wolf , is an American actor .

Life

Raised in West Orange , New Jersey , Wolf studied finance at George Washington University until 1988 . Towards the end of his studies he was discovered for film.

In Germany, Scott Wolf is best known for his role in the youth series Party of Five about a group of siblings who have to cope on their own after the death of their parents. In the second half of the 1990s, he also appeared in several feature films. Some of the most significant films of this period include White Squall by Ridley Scott , in which he appears as the narrator and one of the survivors of a real school ship wreck that occurred in 1960, and Go! Life doesn't start until 3:00 AM for Doug Liman from 1999. In the latter, he successfully thwarted his clean man image in the role of a teenage television star who involuntarily and reluctantly has to work as a decoy for a drug investigator.

In the largely unknown but ambitious thriller No Way Out from 2002, he plays a detective who is diagnosed with a deadly disease and then hires a hit man for himself.

From 2004 to 2006 he played the role of doctor Jake Hartman in the third and fourth seasons of the American television series Everwood . In 2006 he got one of the leading roles in the ambitious ABC series The Nine - The Hostages , which is about nine people who were taken hostage in a bank robbery. After their release, they have to deal with the consequences of their fate. The series started in the USA in September 2006, but was canceled after a few episodes due to a lack of audience interest.

In 2009 he then received in the science fiction - television series The Visitors - V the role of TV presenter Chad Decker . In this role he was seen in all 22 episodes produced until 2011, when the series was discontinued due to a lack of viewer interest.

Wolf has been part of the Perception cable series since 2013 . While he was still a guest actor in the second season, he became part of the main cast in the third season. Wolf has also had a supporting role in the television series The Night Shift since 2014.

Scott Wolf was engaged to Alyssa Milano in the 90s . Then he was in a relationship with Paula Devicq . In 2004 he finally married the actress Kelley Limp , with whom he has two sons and a daughter.
