The Scottish Masters 1982 was a snooker tournament as part of the Snooker Main Tour of the 1982/83 season . The invitation tournament was held from September 23rd to 26th at the Holiday Inn in Glasgow . After 1981 the tournament took place for the second time.

The defending champion was Jimmy White , who this time lost his first match. In the final, Steve Davis met the reigning world champion Alex Higgins . Davis won the match 9-4.

Prize money

The prize money has been increased by £ 3,000 compared to the tournament debut. The finalists each received £ 1,000 more, the other players accordingly.
