The Perzebach in Seifersdorf

Seifersdorf was mentioned around 1248 as “Sifirsdorf” and until 1540 belonged to the Altzella monastery near Nossen . With the introduction of the Reformation and the secularization of the Altzella monastery, the village came under the administration of Nossen , but in 1552 it was given to his chancellor Ulrich Mordeisen by the Saxon Elector Moritz as a fief for loyal services . From his inheritance it came to the Elector Christian I , which made it an official village of the Freiberg district office around 1590 .

Like Großschirma, Seifersdorf was part of the Freiberg district office of the Electoral Saxony or Royal Saxon district until 1856 . From 1856 the place belonged to the Freiberg judicial office and from 1875 to the Freiberg district administration . As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Seifersdorf came to the Freiberg district in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Freiberg district of Saxony from 1990 .

On March 1, 1994 Seifersdorf was incorporated into Reichenbach . With the incorporation of Reichenbach into Großschirma, Seifersdorf has been part of Großschirma since January 1st, 1999. Seifersdorf has been part of the Central Saxony district since 2008. Ecclesiastically, the parish after Langhennersdorf belongs to the parish of Langhennersdorf .

traffic

The federal road 101 runs east of the town in the neighboring town of Großschirma . The Nossen – Moldau railway , which is currently without passenger traffic on the Nossen – Freiberg section , runs parallel to this . The federal motorway 4 running to the north can be reached via the “ Berbersdorf ” exit.
