The Semyon Budyonnyy ( Russian Семён Будённый , dt. Semyon Budyonny) is a river cruise ship that in 1981 in Czechoslovakia in the shipyard Narodny Podnik Škoda in Komarno (now Slovenské Lodenice Komárno) with the hull number 2008 for Volga Shipping Company (Волжское объединённое речное пароходство) was built in Gorky .

History of the ship

The river cruise ship with four passenger decks belongs to the Valerian Kuybyshev class (project 92-016) or “OL400” ( Slovak : osobna lod 400 - German: for 400 passengers), a series of 9 ships of the “Valerian Kuybyshev” type produced from 1976 to 1983 “Which were the largest river cruise ships in the USSR. The Narodny Podnik Škoda shipyard in Komárno was then part of the Škoda Group . The ship was named after the Marshal of the Soviet Union , organizer in the Red Army and military leader, Semyon Budjonny . The Semyon Budyonnyy has a diesel-electric drive with three main motors , each 736 kW.

The Semyon Budyonnyy is operated by Volga-Flot-Tur on the Volga , Kama , Neva , Lake Ladoga and the Volga-Baltic Canal . For 2012 the cruises for the Russian tourists are mainly planned from Samara and Togliatti . The captain (as of 2011) is Vitaly Kistenj (Кистень Виталий)

Furnishing

All comfortable 1-, 2-, and 3-bed cabins and DeLux cabins of the Lux Eurostandard class consisting of two rooms or two rooms are equipped with air conditioning, shower and toilet, radio, 220 V connection and have big windows. On board are u. a. two restaurants, two bars, a reading room, a conference room, music salon, solarium.
