Analog radio (MW)

At the beginning of 2014, NPO , the public broadcaster of the Netherlands, announced that it would end the medium wave broadcasting of Radio 5 on September 1, 2015. Currently, around 250,000 listeners (which corresponds to about a quarter of the total number of listeners to Radio 5) use medium wave as a reception path. The DAB digital radio is seen as a replacement .

The medium-wave broadcast of program 538, which is otherwise available nationwide via VHF, at this location can be traced back to the fact that the station in the Limburg region does not have any VHF frequencies and is intended to suggest a nationwide program to advertisers.
