Localization of Baden-Württemberg in Germany

The Murgtal transmitter is a transmitter of the Südwestrundfunk (formerly the Südwestfunk ). It is located on the Draberg , a 965 meter high mountain in the northern Black Forest . A free-standing steel lattice tower is used as the antenna carrier .

From here the geographically shaded valley of the Murg around the town of Forbach is supplied with radio. Despite the low transmission power, the exposed location ensures that the frequencies of this transmitter can also be received far outside the target area as far as France.
