Localization of Lower Saxony in Germany

The transmitter Wildemann (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) is a transmitter ( transmitter for short ) for television. It is located on the Georgenhöhe at the foot of the Adlersberg near Wildemann (mountain and university town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld ).

This transmitter used to be used as a television converter for the city of Wildemann. During digitization, this converter was one of the few German converters to be converted to DVB-T, making it the weakest DVB-T broadcaster in Germany. According to estimates by the NDR, the station last only supplied around 20 residents of Wildemann with digital television, which is why it was decommissioned in 2013. In this context, the demolition of the transmission mast is also planned.
