The Sensbacher Höhe , a ridge in the Ober-Sensbach district in the Hessian Odenwald , is 557.8 m above sea level. NHN is the second highest elevation in the Odenwald district after the Kohlwald near Bullau .
The Sensbacher Höhe extends for about 5 km between the north-south running waters of Gammelsbach in the west with the street village of the same name in the valley, which belongs to Oberzent , and of Sensbach in the east, on whose banks the three Oberzenter districts Ober-Sensbach , Unter-Sensbach and Hebstahl . Up on the mountain range, which is almost entirely wooded, there is a forest road with almost no change in gradient. The Sensbacher Höhe falls from north to south from the highest point ( 557.8 m ) on a fairly flat knoll in the Waldgewann Hohe Höhe , which is close to a small pass of the L 3120 that connects the valleys, over the Gickelsberg ( 554 m ) about to the gypsy stick ( 452.8 m ).
The mountain range continues morphologically to the north and south, but these continuations are no longer included in the Sensbacher Höhe: In the north, the Selserberg descends continuously to the Elseberg ( 518 m ), behind a side valley cut at the Reußenkreuz lies the Krähberg ( 554.9 m ). In the south, the ridge climbs up to Hohen Warte ( 551.5 m ) and then drops in a south-southwest direction over the Itterberg ( 391 m ) to the Neckar valley near Eberbach .
