Sergei Janzen (born February 18, 1987 in Jarowoje ) is a German - Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Deggendorfer SC from the Oberliga Süd since May 2015 together with his brother Alexander .

Career

Janzen began his career in the youth team of the Kölner Haie , where he played for the junior team in the German youth league for the first time in the 2002/03 season . There the links shooter was one of the best point forwards the league and scored in his first season in 38 games 41 points scorer. In the following two years he was able to steadily increase his point yield and finally got 80 points in a total of 77 games. In the summer of 2005, those responsible at REV Bremerhaven became aware of the then 18-year-old and transferred him to the 2nd Bundesliga . After a first place in the main round, Janzen and his new employer were even able to reach the final, which was lost with 2: 3 games against the Straubing Tigers .

Born in Russia, he was part of the regular squad and convinced the talent scouts of the cooperation partner, the Hanover Scorpions, of his qualities, which gave him a sponsorship license for the 2006/07 season . As a result, the attacker played his first four DEL games, in which he could not score a scorer point. Janzen spent most of the season at REV Bremerhaven in the 2nd Bundesliga. After he was again in the Scorpions squad in the following season, but was not used, the winger was only active for the REV during the 2007/08 season . There he completed 50 second division games and also six games for the amateurs in the regional league .

In the 2008/09 season Sergei Janzen was called up by the coaching staff of the Hannover Scorpions and came to a total of eleven DEL missions in which he scored a goal. In the following season he came on another seven missions.

For the 2010/11 season , Sergei changes completely to REV Bremerhaven, where his brother Alexander has also been under contract since this season .

In August 2012 Sergei and his brother Alexander received a trial contract with the Hannover Scorpions . Both were able to convince during the preparation for the season and were awarded a contract with the Lower Saxony for the 2012/13 season . For the 2014/15 season , Sergei, like his brother, moved to the DEL2 for the Heilbronner Falken , a year later they were signed together by Deggendorfer SC .

International

In 2005 Janzen was nominated for the German junior national team with which he took part in the 2005 World Cup in the Czech Republic . There the attacker reached eighth place with the German team and thus secured relegation. In the six games he played, Janzen scored two scorer points.
