Club career

Born in the town of Arles in the south of France, Guirassy grew up in Montargis . During his youth he played alternately for the offspring of USM Montargis and J3 Amilly , the football club from the neighboring town of Amilly , where he played up to U-12, among other things. Between 2009 and 2010 he played again for J3 Amilly and appeared in the Under-15 Championship for both teams, scoring 40 goals in the U-15 championship. He then completed a trial training at AJ Auxerre , but was not awarded a contract. Instead, he moved to the junior division of the French second division team Stade Laval at the start of the 2011/12 season , for whom he scored ten goals in the U-16 team and another 20 goals in the U-19 team.

After he was still in the 37th round of the 2012/13 season in the 2-1 away win the Le Havre AC without use, he came in the following season to his first appearances in men's football. He made his debut on September 7, 2013 on the grid in the 5-1 victory of the reserve team playing in the fifth division (CFA 2) against La Vitréenne FC . He scored the 1-0 opening goal in the 15th minute and was replaced by Zdenko Bilać in the 50th minute . After another league assignment for the reserve team, which had only been promoted from the sixth division in the previous season, he made his league debut for the professional team in October 2013 in a 2-2 home game against Le Havre AC, in which he was from 75. Minute for Amara Baby was substituted on. After two more short league appearances until November 2013, he was also used in a league encounter in April 2014. With the team he was under the leadership of Philippe Hinschberger in the relegation battle for a long time and held the class under the new coach Denis Zanko with 17th place in the table. In the CFA 2, Guirassy, who was also used in the youngsters, was sixth with the team. He was used in ten league games and contributed six goals for his team.

In the 2014/15 season , the striker became a regular in the attack of the French second division club, where he made appearances in 29 league games. Initially still on short assignments, he was unable to play for the professional team between September and October 2014 due to meniscus problems and during this time was mainly used in the reserve team, he came to regular assignments for the professionals, especially from November 2014. He was often in action for the full length of the game as a center forward and at the end of the season, when Stade Laval was in sixth place in the table, he scored six league goals , making him the top scorer of his team with Mamadou Diallo . He also played all three games of his team in the Coupe de la Ligue of the 2014/15 season and one of a total of three games in the Coupe de France 2014/15 . Also in the reserve team in the fifth highest football league in France, Guirassy acted in a dangerous way, with the team again finishing sixth in the final standings and contributing eight goals in six appearances. Due to his offensive strength, he was quickly courted by clubs from Ligue 1 , including AS Saint-Étienne in April 2015. His contract at Stade Laval ran until 2016.

In July 2015, the first division club OSC Lille signed him . For the second half of the 2015/16 season he was loaned to the second division AJ Auxerre , for whom he scored eight goals in 16 league games by the end of the season.

He scored his first goal in the Bundesliga with the 1: 2 loss against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on October 28, 2017 (10th matchday).

At the end of January 2019, the Effzeh loaned the striker to his home country for first division club SC Amiens . After the loan contract expired, the French club pulled the purchase option for 5 million euros.

National team career

For his first appearances in a French youth national team, Guirassy, who would have been eligible to play for the Ivorian national team due to his parentage , came on January 17, 2012 at the age of 15 ten months and five days for the U-16 team. In the next five days he came on three more international appearances and one goal, which he scored in the second game against his colleagues from Belgium . With that, his career with the U-16 team was over; it was only used again in the U-19 team towards the end of 2014.

As in the U-16 team, he also made his team debut with the U-19 team under coach Patrick Gonfalone on November 13, 2014 in a 0-0 draw against the Greek U-19s. After a few friendlies and qualifying matches for the U-19 European Championship , he was appointed to the French squad for the tournament.
