Setsoto ( English Setsoto Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Thabo Mofutsanyana District , Free State Province , South Africa . The administrative headquarters are in Ficksburg . Komane Koalane is the mayor.

The community name comes from Sesotho and means something like "The Wonderful" or "The Beauty". Reference is made to the scenic charms of the surrounding area and the wealth of agricultural products, such as the orchards and wheat cultivation here.

In 2011 the community had 112,597 inhabitants. 92.3% of these were black, 5.7% white, 1% colored and 0.8% Indian or Asian.

The first language was 86% Sesotho, 7% Afrikaans and 2.8% English.
