The Sesto Bach (also Sexten Bach or Sextenbach, Italian Rio Sesto) is a 16 kilometer long tributary of the Drava , into which it flows at an altitude of 1170 m slm . The Sesto Bach drains the Sesto Valley . The stream rises on the Kreuzbergpass at an altitude of 1636 m slm , its catchment area extends up to the 3145 meter high Dreischusterspitze . The Sesto Bach flows into the Drava in Innichen , not far from the Franciscan monastery . The main tributaries of the creek are the Fischleintalbach and the Ixenbach. The most important places on the brook are Sexten and Moos .
At the reservoir in Sesto, part of the stream is diverted to generate electricity and the water is added again in Vierschach .
