Shaun Harrison (born April 28, 1994 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand ice hockey player who has played for the UCLA Bruins in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association since 2016 . His younger sister Grace is also a New Zealand national player .

Career

Shaun Harrison began his career with the West Auckland Admirals from his native city. In 2013 he moved to the South Island, where he played four seasons for Dunedin Thunder in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League . In 2013 he also played for the Southern Juniors in the NZJEL junior league. In 2016 he moved to North America to study and has since played for UCLA Bruins , the team at the University of California, Los Angeles , in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association .

International

In the junior division Harrison played for New Zealand at the U18 World Championships 2011 in Division II and 2012 in Division III as well as at the U20 World Championships in 2011 , 2012 and 2014 , when he was together with his compatriot Aaron Henderson and the Belgians Patrick van Noten and Erik Mondelaers was the third best scorer behind their compatriots Michael van Egdom and Frank Neven and together with van Egdom was also the second best goal setter behind Mondelaers, both in Division III.

The striker made his debut in the men's national team at the 2016 World Cup in Division II, in which he also played in 2018 .
