Patrick van Noten (born November 20, 1995 in Turnhout , Belgium ) is a Belgian ice hockey player who has been playing for Phantoms Antwerp in the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League since 2016 .
Career
The Belgian Patrick van Noten started his career as an ice hockey player in Germany. After playing for a year at Düsseldorfer EG in the school league, he spent the 2011/12 season with Ratinger Ice Aliens in the men's Oberliga West, but was also occasionally used in the junior league. From 2012 to 2014 he finally played for the Cologne EC , in 2013 with the Haie offspring he was promoted from the youth Bundesliga to the German junior league , where he reached the playoff semi-finals with the team in 2014. He then moved to his native Belgium and played with the HYC Herentals , the strongest team in the country, first in the Dutch honor division and from 2015 in the newly founded BeNe League , which he won with HYC in 2016. He also won the Belgian championship and the country's cup competition with the club in the same year . He then moved to league rivals Phantoms Antwerp , for whom he has been active ever since.
International
For Belgium, van Noten played in the youth division at the U18 World Championships in 2011 in Division II and in 2012 in Division III, as well as in the U20 championships in 2014 , when he had the best plus / minus balance of the tournament and together with his compatriot Erik Mondelaers and the New Zealanders Aaron Henderson and Shaun Harrison third-best scorer after his compatriots Michael van Egdom and Frank Neven , in Division III and in 2015 in Division II.
Van Noten took part in the Division II World Championships in 2014 , 2015 and 2016 with the men's national team.
