Shivasatakshi ( Nepali शिवसतासी ) is a city ( municipality ) in the extreme east of the Terai in Nepal in the Jhapa district .

The city emerged at the end of 2014 from the merger of the Village Development Committees Satasidham and Shivaganj . Shivasatakshi is located on the west bank of the Kankai on the Mahendra Rajmarg highway . On the opposite bank is the city of Kankai . Shivasatakshi City Council is located in Satasidham. The urban area covers 90.2 km².

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs from which the city of Shivasatakshi emerged had 39,689 inhabitants (18,286 of them male) in 9,102 households.
