Damak is a city in the Terai in the Jhapa district in southeastern Nepal .
Damak received the status of a municipality in 1982.
The city lies between the two rivers of Mawa in the west and Ratuwa in the east. The town of Urlabari is 6 km to the west . Damak is on the Mahendra Rajmarg highway .
The urban area covers 75.13 km².
Residents
In 2001 Damak had a population of 35,000 and 7,178 households. At the 2011 census, the city of Damak had 75,102 inhabitants (35,438 of them male) in 18,104 households.
