action

Lilli Fischer and Bille Seifert are friends. After an argument with her mother on the eve of her 15th birthday, Lilli, who felt that her family did not understand her, and her friend disappear from a garden shed where they wanted to celebrate their birthday. For the parents, Henry and Marlis Fischer, as well as Katja Seifert and her husband running a tavern, the terrible time of uncertainty and anxious waiting begins. The police are called in and Commissioner Peace takes over the case.

Initially, it is assumed that Lilli and her friend ran away from home because of the quarrels with their parents; One of the factors contributing to this assumption is the fact that initially 200 euros are missing from Ms. Fischer's wallet. In the course of time, Henry Fischer is suspected of having a sexual relationship with his daughter's girlfriend - traces of semen in the garden shed and an absence at night at the time of disappearance seem to support this thesis. The fishermen's marriage is about to break. Later it becomes clear that Henry had a sexual relationship with Billes mother Katja and that it was mixed up because mother and daughter look very similar. The only person Marlis can trust is Commissioner Peace. The outsider Klaus Kuhnke, who lives in the village, is also under suspicion and has been linked to a possible crime - especially since a similar incident had already occurred in the past.

After a while, Lilli's brother, Kai, breaks his silence; He reports on the phone about a note that Lilli and Bille left behind in the garden shed and that can explain their mysterious disappearance. The two ran away to Poland because Lilli fell in love with a Polish boy, the son of a man who worked illegally in the village, and wanted to follow him. After the children are returned, the families can be reunited.

criticism

"(TV) marriage drama that condenses into a convincing study of the dream of life and life with dreamlike security in the dialogues and in the staging, carefully cast characters and an astonishing balance between crime thriller and quiet family drama."
