The neighboring towns are Crostwitz in the north, Lehndorf in the east, Tschaschwitz in the southeast, Neuhof in the southwest and Schweinerden in the west. State roads 100 (Bautzen – Kamenz) and 101 ( Uhyst am Taucher –Crostwitz) cross in Siebitz .

The square village was first mentioned in 1351 as Siwycz . Unlike in the neighboring towns, the manor was not at the St. Marienstern Monastery , but with changing manors in the area and partly with the Bautzen Cathedral Monastery .
Siebitz was an independent rural community until 1957, then it was incorporated into Lehndorf .
