Sielbektal, Kreuzkamper Seenlandschaft and surrounding forests is the name of a nature reserve established in 2015 . It is located in the municipality of Ratekau in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein .

The 209 hectare nature reserve is characterized in the north-west and north-east by the two historic forest locations Hohelieth and Beutz with natural, partly old beech and mixed beech forests that are close to the location . Between the two forests extends the wide, almost completely extensively grazed Sielbektal with wet to wet meadows, swamps, transitional moors, alder and willow breaks with small bodies of water. On the more or less steep slopes, there are poor grasslands and fringed herbaceous vegetation of lean, dry locations. The nature reserve is named after the Sielbek brook, which rises in Sereetz on the old Travemünder Landstrasse, flows through two lakes and finally flows into an oxbow lake of the Schwartau . The stream was used for a Sereetz water mill until the 20th century. In the meantime it is led through pipes in some places.

The forest areas of the new nature reserve are owned by the Schleswig-Holstein State Forests , the agricultural areas are owned by the Schleswig-Holstein Nature Conservation Foundation , the Sereetz environmental protection association, the Ratekau community and several private owners. Since 2014 the Beutz forest has been designated as a natural forest and has been withdrawn from forestry use.
