Siggi Schwarz (born February 28, 1958 in Glött ) is a German guitarist , music producer and concert organizer .

biography

Schwarz played in the band Bluespilz and the funk-rock band Split , with whom he released several records in the 1970s and 1980s and performed concerts in Germany, Greece, Austria, France and Luxembourg. In 1987 he and his band VIP won the Marlboro Music Award - as the best German rock band among more than 1200 participants. This resulted in a record deal with Marlboro Music / Ariola , a production in Peter Maffay's Red Rooster Studio and some television appearances. Siggi Schwarz worked for several years as a guitar demonstrator at the Frankfurt Music Fair . As a guitarist and music producer , he worked with Michael Schenker , Chris Thompson , Chris Norman , Mungo Jerry , Steve Lukather , Simon Phillips , Frank Diez , Geoff Whitehorn, Laurie Wisefield, Alex Conti and Pete Haycock . From 1990 to 2008 he was the operator of a guitar shop in Heidenheim an der Brenz with international customers. He completed an apprenticeship as a printer in Heidenheim an der Brenz and is the father of two children.

Since 2004 he has been producing his Siggi Schwarz & Legends CDs in the Neu-Ulm recording studio Studio 2 together with Romi Schickle . Of the tours with Chris Thompson and Michael Schenker were live albums released. In 2008 he produced the Michael Schenker album In the Midst of Beauty . The CD Good Times , published in May 2009 , had a circulation of over 50,000 copies. Siggi Schwarz was the opener for concerts by Santana , The Who , ZZ Top , John Mayall , the Scorpions and others.

With Romi Schickle, Schwarz composed, played and produced the music for Wolfgang Fierek's two-part road movie On the Road Again . The single of the same name by Wolfgang Fierek was released by 313jwp / Sony Music . In 2011, the title Hold on I'm Coming, produced by Schwarz, was used by Paramount Pictures in commercials for the animated film Kung Fu Panda 2 . In May 2011 Siggi Schwarz was signed by Membran / Sony Music. The first release in distribution by Sony Music was the tribute album for Gary Moore, who died on February 6, 2011 . Neil Murray (Moore's former bassist), Geoff Whitehorn and Steve Lukather also played on the album.

In spring 2012 Siggi Schwarz was on tour in Europe as support for Johnny Winter . In the summer of 2012 Sony Music released the album New Love Songs and Siggi Schwarz & Friends opened the Toto Open Airs in Schwäbisch Gmünd and Altusried . In 2013 Siggi Schwarz went on tour with a new line-up and played concerts supporting Mother's Finest , Mike & the Mechanics and Eric Burdon . In summer 2014 Siggi Schwarz & Friends played at festivals with Bryan Adams , Billy Idol , Alan Parsons Project and Uriah Heep . In 2015 Siggi Schwarz celebrates his 40th stage anniversary. 2500 appearances in front of over 1 million viewers. In May 2015 the album "Siggi Schwarz-Milestones of Rock" was released with the great hits of rock history, such as Stairway to Heaven, Hotel California, Imagine, Wish you were here .... recorded with the Ulm Philharmonic and Bobby Kimball as special guests (Voice of TOTO) Geoff Whitehorn.
