Silicon wadi

Silicon Wadi ( Hebrew סיליקוק ואדי, lit .: "Silicon Valley") is an area with a high concentration of high-tech companies in the coastal plain of Israel around Tel Aviv (industrial areas of Ewer ha-Jarkon and Kirjat Atidim) and other smaller clusters around the cities of Raʿanana , Petach Tikwa (industrial areas of Kiryat Arieh and Kiryat Matalon ), Herzliya (Herzliya Pituach), Netanya and academic city of Rechovot , Rishon LeZion and Haifa , Yavne and Caesarea . Newer high-tech facilities have been established in Jerusalem (industrial zones of the mountains Hozvim and Malha) and in cities such as Jokne'am Illit , Nes Ziona (industrial area of ​​Kirjat Weizmann) and in Airport City , near Tel Aviv airport , also in Beersheba and Kirjat Gat .

As of 2017, there were 300 development and research centers in Silicon Wadi. Around 20 new centers are added every year.
