Sinfer Rischatowitsch Ismagilow

Sinfer Rischatowitsch Ismagilow ( Russian Зинфер Ришатович Исмагилов ; born October 15, 1947 in Baigildino, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic ) is a Bashkir-Russian chemist and university professor .

Life

Ismagilow studied chemistry at the Novosibirsk University (NGU) with a degree in 1969. This was followed by an aspirantur at the Institute for Catalysis of the Siberian Department of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok , which he graduated in 1974 with a doctorate as a candidate in chemical sciences . In 1977 he became a lecturer at the chair for physical chemistry at the NGU (until 1989). From 1978 to 1979 he was a visiting scholar at Rice University in Houston .

In 1983 Ismagilow became head of the laboratory at the Institute for Catalysis, which now bears the name of the first director Georgi Konstantinowitsch Boreskow . In 1988 he received a doctorate in chemical sciences . In the same year he became Vice General Director of the Interdisciplinary Scientific and Technical Complex (MNTK) catalyst founded in 1985 (until 1992). In 1991 he was appointed professor. In 1992 he was visiting professor at the Université Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg . In 1992 and 1993 he was visiting professor at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington . In 2001 he became a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences . His fields of work are heterogeneous catalysis , petrochemistry , coal chemistry and functional nanomaterials as well as industrial ecology .

In 2010, Ismagilov became director of the Institute of Coal Chemistry and Chemical Materials of the Siberian Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2012 he became a professor at the Technical Kuzbass University in Kemerovo and head of the chair for coal chemistry, plastics and environmental protection . He is a member of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) and the American Chemical Society .
