Sisqó
Sisqó (born November 9, 1978 in Baltimore , Maryland ; actually: Mark Althavan Andrews ) is an American R&B and pop singer. He is a member of the band Dru Hill and has been a successful solo artist since 1999.
Life
Sisqó has African-American and Native American ancestors.
Sisqó met his later Dru Hill bandmate James "Woody" Green in middle school. He first attended the Mervo, later the Baltimore City College in Baltimore , where he also met Tamir "Nokio" Ruffin . The band Dru Hill was later engaged by Ruffin, who is named after Druid Hill Park in Baltimore. Soon Larry "Jazz" Anthony was also included.
It is known about his private life that he allegedly impregnated a 14-year-old girl in Zurich in 1999.
Solo career
In 1998, Sisqó recorded a song with Mýa , their single It's All About Me , which reached number 6 on the US charts. In November 1999, Sisqó's first album, Unleash The Dragon, was released . The second single from the album, Thong Song , became one of his most famous hits. With the single Incomplete he made it to the top of the US charts. In 2000, Sisqó sang alongside DMX on his single What These Bitches Want . In the same year he worked with Lil 'Kim on the song How Many Licks .
His second CD Return Of Dragon was released in June 2001. The first single Dance For Me reached number 6 in the British charts, but overall Return Of Dragon could not build on the success of the first album. In 2002 he recorded another album ( Dru World Order ) with Dru Hill, but it flopped. His third solo album The Last Dragon was planned for 2012, but the release was postponed until 2015.
