Until December 2006, Skive Kommune was a Danish municipality in what was then the Viborg Office in Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Skive municipality together with the municipalities of Sallingsund , Spøttrup and Sundsøre .
Skive municipality was newly formed as part of the administrative reform of 1970 and included the following Sogn :
