Slivova ( Albanian  also  Slivovë , Serbian Сливово Slivovo ) is a Kosovar village in the municipality of Pristina .

geography

The village is situated in a forested area about 15 kilometers east of Pristina above the national road M-25.2 , the Pristina to Gjilan connects. About five kilometers west of Slivova is Lake Badovac .

Two kilometers southeast of the village rises the mountain Velji rid ( 1034  m. I. J. ). The Krileva runs east of the village .

Neighboring villages are Mramor in the north  , Novo Brdo in the south-east   and Gračanica in the south-west  .

history

In Slivova there is an archaeological site Kulina with medieval remains. It is a cultural monument in Kosovo .

Surname

Until 1999 the village was also known under the name Slivova-Mukata or Slivovë-Mukatë .

ethnicities

In the 2011 census, 257 inhabitants were recorded for Slivova. Of these, 229 identified themselves as Albanians (89.1%) and 28 as Serbs (10.9%).

In 2011, 201 of the 257 inhabitants declared themselves to be Islam , 28 people declared themselves as Orthodox Christians and 28 as Catholics .
