Ida Sofi Emilia Flink (born July 8, 1995 in Hallstahammar ) is a Swedish javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Sofi Flink gained her first international experience in 2011 at the World Youth Championships near Lille , where she won the silver medal with a width of 52.25 m. The following year, she won the Junior World Championships with a new national record of 61.40 m and also won the gold medal at the 2013 Junior European Athletics Championships in Rieti with 57.91 m. This also qualified her for the World Championships in Moscow , where she finished tenth with 59.52 m in the final. In 2014 she was the big favorite at the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where she had to admit defeat to Russian Yekaterina Starygina with 56.70 m . In August she made it to the finals of the European Championships in Zurich , where she was twelfth with a width of 56.68 m. Two years later she was eliminated from the qualification at the European Championships in Amsterdam with 54.38 m and in 2017 she did not succeed in qualifying at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz . The following year she made it to the finals again at the European Championships in Berlin , where she was classified in tenth place with 56.91 m.

In 2012 and 2013, as well as 2017 and 2018, Fink became the Swedish javelin throwing champion.
