The Trophy European Pentathlon 1976 was the sixth European pentathlon championship for national teams, mostly known under the name TEP. The tournament took place from 4th to 7th November 1976 in Amersfoort , the Netherlands .
history
The Belgians, who started as favorites again, only finished second behind the Netherlands this time. The lineup in the disciplines could have been the trigger. Because they played the best VGD again. Raymond Ceulemans , who was undefeated in three cushion in recent years, played this time in the first-ever Cadre 47/1 and was only able to decide two games in his favor. The you of the Dutch was not undeserved because they won against Belgium. The German team played very poorly. One of the reasons was certainly Klaus Hose's absence due to illness . It could not be compensated by Peter Sporer. The years of weakness in three cushion was also a decisive reason.
